Thanks for the suggestions.
What were the local admin tasks??? I had previously installed Virtual Server
2005 and was installing a virtual instance of Window 2003 Enterprise Server.
The initial install of a new virtual machine requires you to be logged on as
a local Administrator.
I tried the fixes that both you and Walter suggested. No luck. The WinLogon
key was already set to C:\Windows\System32\Userinit.exe as you suggested. The
permissions on the key appear ok also.
Since Quick Launch works OK for my wife's login and for the built in local
admin login, just not for mine, it would seem to me that it would be an issue
with HKCU or a permissions issue on HKLM. I'm starting to lean towards HKCU.
It appears I lost all my settings for IE (home page, days to track history)
and Outlook (my login to my ISP e-mail account).
Other suggestions?
