Mary,
There should be an Advanced checkmark box in the search
options. I think XP might try hiding it on you.
If you put a checkmark into it, it'll open a little drop-down
deal where you can put a check mark into:
Search system folders
Search hidden files and folders
Search Subfolders
Make sure all three of those items are checked and that will
fix the problem you are seeing.
Also, if that doesn't seem right, let us know. You might have
to put the Search behaviour in Classic mode/view.
