You could have stopped at: "the manufacturer is responsible for making them
available and updating them."
But your last sentence: "You harp about lousy attitudes - yet your attitude
clearly
meets the juvenile level itself." is not a professional response.
However, this is my response to you. I recieved an e-mail from
service@Brother.ca and it reads as follows:
"Good afternoon
We did not create the drivers for Windows XP, Microsoft did so if you can't
print in 1200dpi then you will need to contact them to find out why. It is
possible that when they created the drivers the may have chosen to lower the
maximum DPI. We did not create drivers ourselves because the machine was
manufactured a long time before WindowsXP was ever created.

So, Ron, did you notice that support@Brother.ca did not add any verbal
back-lash towards their PAYING CUSTAMERS. They just answered in a
professional and respectful way.
