You know, that simply isn't true. Sure, if you want to join a domain or
do complex user/group permissions, Pro is a much better bet. But if
Schupo just wants to share files and printers in a home network, there
is no need to upgrade to Pro. Schupo, unless you want something quite
complicated, ask your question here. In the meantime, here are some
ideas for you.

Assuming you have a broadband connection to the Internet, just get a
wireless router. Connect the router to your cable/dsl modem and you can
set it up on either Windows or the Mac. Then you configure the wireless
part of the setup on the router - usually from a browser window, so
this can be either on the Mac or Windows. Then set up your wireless
adapter configuration on the computers. The operating systems don't
really matter in this setup. For instance, I'm writing this on a laptop
running Linux, getting the Internet connection wirelessly. If I had a
Windows laptop, then it also would be getting the same connection
wirelessly.

If, OTOH you are talking about using Windows Internet Connection Sharing
with the Mac as the client, Googling for "ICS Mac client" brings up a
fair amount of links. This one looks particularly promising:
