As another poster has already written, NERO is about the best. Before trying other
burning software: Make sure that you don't have batch of bad disks. If it isn't the
disks, you might try uninstalling all of the Nero software from Control Panel/Add or
Remove Programs, then go to:
http://www.nero.com/us/nero-up.php
and download the latest updated version (your product key will work with it). Make sure
that your DVD recorder is listed on the supported hardware page. Do not install the InCD
module!. Yes, you could do a on the fly upgrade with the Nero updates, BUT, if your
original install is corrupt it pays to uninstall it, reboot and then install the updates
which will install as stand alone, NOT PATCHES.
But, if you want to try other burning software: First UNINSTALL Nero, and reboot, BEFORE
installing other burning software. You might look at the: Sonic RecordNow! Deluxe Suite
at:
http://www.sonic.com/products/recordnow/deluxesuite/default.asp
(The lesser versions of Sonic RecordNow! and Sonic RecordNow! Deluxe will probably not
have all the features that you would want, but the Sonic Record Now Deluxe Suite version
should. At any rate, do not go lower than the Sonic RecordNow! Deluxe version)
