Hi Melvin,

Thanks for your posting.

Please offer more information for further research. What method are these
workstation connected? Does the Windows XP system join domain? How did you
share the folder? Is there any operation related to this issue? Are there
any 3rd party software installed related to this issue.

Please let me know more about the system and the settings. Look forward to
your reply.

Sincerely,
Carsyn Gu

| Hi Support,
| My client is running several xp pro, peer to peer workstations in the
| office, and everything has been running ok. No changes to my knowledge.
Last
| week they complained that Qbooks pro couldn't access the files, the
errors
| was "it don't allow more that one user at a time", Qbook answer was that
xp
| folder permissions has to be set to everyone. I checked the folder and
| everything was set ok. After looking and looking for the problem i
created a
| new folder for Qbooks, set the permissions to everyone full control, as
well
| as the administrator and every one else, just as the old folder was set.
I
| copied and pasted the files into the new folder, re mapped to the folder
and
| the workstation can work on qbooks again. Today the same thing again!
| What is changing the permissions? Where do i look?
|
| Melvin Edward
