SP 2 will not change one iota in 6 months. If you want a problem free
installation of SP 2, format and do a clean install of XP, clean
up/chckdsk/defrag and immediately install SP2 from the CD and then clean
up/chckdsk/defrag again. Then install your programs and do a clean
up/chckdsk/defrag after each install of large programs such as Office and
after two or three small programs such as AdAware. Then install your
devices. I have done this on many computers and, so far, every single one of
them is humming like a bee.
