No you have got me there. Why would you need to create a backup whilst in
recovery mode? Normally the rescue mode would be used to recover from a real
emergency situation using a backup image prepared earlier. The only other
occasion to use it would be as a test of the recovery procedure to make sure
that it would work for you in your environment. Or perhaps I have
misunderstood your question.
