Here is were tabbed browsing is powerful. Go to your favorite
search tool and search on a subject of your choosing. Instead
on clicking on the results, right click and open them in a tab.
The first thing you will notice is that you don't loose your
search result when you want to go back to it (some web
pages won't let you go back). The second thing you will notice
is that it is really convenient to be able to compare what is
written on different tabs.
It is also convenient to load a project with several tabs in it
you are working on into into a folder. When you need to go back to
the project the next day, you right click on the folder, not
the bookmark, and open in tabs: they all pop up in tabs with just
two mouse clicks.
But, to each his own.
The main reason for Firefox is peer review (open source), which
makes it a lot more secure. Also, bugs, including security
flaws, are fixed very, very rapidly.
Just my experience.
