Hello ,

I have a problem with my XP professional machine. When I switch on - the
machine is extremely slow and sluggish rendering it virtually impossible to
do anything. When I go into Windows Task Manager however, I notice that the
CPU Usage is at 100%. Also, in the task list the main culprit is taskmgr.exe
which is taking up 90-95% of CPU usage.

I have tried everything - formatting the hard drive, running anti-virus
software, checking the registry - the lot believe me. Does anyone have any
more ideas on this? I would be very grateful.

Many thanks in advance.

David Lyons.
