SP-2 works very well on most computers.
The SP-2 of today is the same as SP-2 in a year because there is
nothing serious to fix.

Consider the number of Windows XP computers in the world.
No two of those computers are identical.
There is no way Microsoft or anyone else can test anything on all of
them.
It is up to the users to determine if the hardware and software is
compatible with SP-2.
Perhaps Microsoft should have done more in information.
However SP-2 is here.
SP-2 is probably the most tested piece of software ever.
Most issues are prevented by preparation.

Most users need SP-2 but each needs to make their own informed
decision about installing anything.
