I realize that this isn't much help, but one of the MS Beta sites I visit
rather regularly requires passport and if you check the "Sing me in
automatically" - your hosed. This has been way before SP2, so this may be a
passport/MSN issue that will require a bit of support from MSN. Although it
sometimes takes a few emails to them - they generally are pretty quick to
try and figure it out for you. YMMV
