hi guys! away for a long time. now i am back with a problem.
had some virus residing in the system volume information folder. removed all
the contents of the folder after making it 'unhidden". meanwhile seeing that
a large amount of space was being consumed by this folder in all the drives.
removed all but the latest( by date) files in each drive and emptied the
folder on c:\ as i was sure that the system was in good shape.
now after about 3 months, i have gone into the system restore from
accessories--system tools etc. and when i try to see the restore points by
choosing the "restore my system to an earlier time " option, i get an eror
saying
runtime error
line 212
"calgrid"is undefined.
do you wish to debug?
with yes and no as the options.
the calendar is blank with no dates.
if i try to create a new restore point it is created as usual but if i then
go back to system restore and try to access it, i get the same error.
if i go to C:\System Volume
Information\_restore{335F62E2-CC70-4432-B674-C948EF40A483} i find that rp 21
rp22 etc are there and i can see from the properties that they are created
as usual-automatically as well as manually.
what is happening and what is the work around?
thankful for the advice
S.L.Narasimham.
