During POST, do you see a prompt on the screen similar to "Press DEL to
enter SETUP"? If so, reboot and press the Delete key as soon as you see the
prompt and it will take you into the setup for your system. Navigate
through until you get to the bootup screen and move the CD drive into the
1st position. Escape out, saving your settings and then try booting off the
CD and try a Repair Install. If this doesn't work, from the sound of your
experience, it would probably be best to find a local shop to diagnose and
fix your machine.
