blank display screen after boot

hi, one of my friend was using the laptop and might have accidentally changed
some display setting. after reboot the screen is coming blank. Till boot
everything is coming clear,
but once the booting is complete and enters into windows, the screen is
coming blank. the sound and other features seem to be working fine.

could anybody help me out of this. thanks a million in advance.
