yes I had same prob the other day.it was a memory imcompatability with winxp
apparenlty.because I successfully loaded win98 on the drive just to see if
it wasn't a corrupt xp cd.the company I bought mb and mem from told me that
yes that mem brand seemed to have a prob so I put in a different memory
brand and it worked fine..another issue on another computer was that plug n
play os wasn't selected in the bios.
