Is the computer connected to the Internet via a LAN, Cable Modem,
DSL Modem, Dial-up account? Have you contracted with an Internet
Service Provider? Have you configured your computer per the ISP's
instructions? Have you contacted the ISP for assistance? What
precise troubleshooting steps have you already taken, and what were
the exact results of each?
