Windows is trying to connect to your mapped drives and that is causing
the delay on login. I recently experienced the same thing. Disconnected
the drives, restarted and it was back to quickness.
The pagefile is necessary regardless of your RAM. Seems stupid but we
can't change it. That's why you're having issues in "D". "E" is related
to "D".
