Click on Tools > Options > Security and uncheck the "Do not allow
attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus"

But before doing this make sure that you have a good - fully up-dated -
virus checking program installed or you could get into serious trouble.

Also you could click on OUTBOX then right-click on OE's TOOLBAR then on
CUSTOMIZE and add PREVIEW to it so that you can switch on,or off,the PREVIEW
PANE so that emails don't automatically open.
