Hi,
Did this replace the CD writer, or was it in addition to it? Also, in order
to write to DVD's, you will have to install DVD writing software, as the
native writer does not support that format. It only does CD's. Once
installed, you will not be able to use the XP writing software anyways
(besides, it is a very limited writing program and third party ones are
almost always better).
