Hello,
I have purchased a copy of windows xp professional full
version and did the upgrade from me installion myself just
yesterday, but it didnt seem to some of my drivers
correctly like my video card for one, especially its dual
monitor support and it said that it was conected on a pci
slot when in reality it is on a agp slot and my modem
driver was wrong, the main problem however was the fact
that internet explorer or the whole of windows didnt seem
to recognize my being conected to the internet, i mean it
dials up normally, connects and stays connected, but then
i open up internet explorer and it acts as how it would if
i wasnt connected, i figured it cannot be my modem because
i did connect to my friends computer using hyperterminal
and he transfered me the modem drivers from there and the
problem still wasnt solved, what could this be, at the
moment i uninstalled xp, and it automatically reverted
back to Windows Me, so that i could use my internet as
usual again. I called my isp before when it was xp to make
sure that the connection was good and they helped me as
far as they could but no problems were solved, could the
geniuses at microsoft please help me, because xp didnt
come cheap at 600 dollars and the store i bought it from
refuses to accept refunds after the packaging is opened
(which is kind of silly considering you have to open it to
check if the program works or not.)

P.s// so at the moment i have considered going dual boot
but how would i do this dual boot thing and how much
hardrive space does it require? , is it possible to later
on uninstall the dual boot thing to save harddrive space
and then do the upgrade from me to xp if i can get
everything working on xp with the dual boot.
contact me at : prasadamrit@hotmail.com ,
your help would be very much appreciated oh and below i
have listed my systems statistics to help you help me,
would you recomend that i get to xp with this system?
thanks again
