The Microsoft GDI tool, only scans microsoft products,
and yep I agree with you I find it useless.
Try finding the office 2000 upgrade area, after stepping
thru 10 11 different links, I finally found the area
and still more links to get to the actual area to scan
your pc to find needed svc packs/patches/upgrades, it's
not as easy as the windows update page, simple scan and a
list with catagories pops up.
