Then I just don't know. You might want to look in the registry key:

HLM>Software>Microsoft>Windows>CurrentVersion>Uninstall. If you expand
Uninstall and highlight each of the many entries that will appear, you
can see what they are in the right pane. Perhaps something will look
strange and out of place and is a corrupted entry. I'm just guessing,
of course, but just looking there won't hurt.

Post back with any new information you find.
