My USB cable does have some sort of cylindrical thing-a-ma-jig on its
wire, so maybe it is a "cross-over" usb cable. But, as you say it could
be slow as myME usb port is 1.1. So, using an ethernet connection seems
to b emore desirable and workable. Is the cross over Cat5 cable you
refer to the cable to use to connect the ethernet ports? Hope so, a
cheap enough investment for the transfer.
