I think what GwD is talking about is having 2 different DHCP servers which
hand out 2 different ranges of IP address. Therefore, you would not have
problems with duplicate IP addresses. The only problem you might right into
(depending on the size of your network) is running out of addresses if one of
the servers fail. All you would need to do is increase the range on the
working server to correct it.
