Rumours are that employers complained to M$ that workers are spending their time looking at the time all the time when they should be producing revenues for them. So M$ took the opportunity to block auto-sync in SP2.

The fix I can suggest is to change the time daily manually!! Incidentally, if you like this then send an email to: mstevens@mvps.org In fact even if you don't like this just send an email of whatever you deem fit!!

You might also have a look at kb307897 on M$ website. The article is rather old (14/07/2004) so it is pre SP2!!

I use non Microsoft products wherever possible which requires no activation.
