Don, I simply used the Restore option after uninstallung the old version.
Insert your back-up disk & restore in the 2005 Quicken.

No luck installing Quicken, but I did remember how to get to the account
called Administrator. I had to turn off automatic logon in Powertoys then
start in safe mode. I was missing the account because of the automatic
logon.
However, Quicken 2005 will not install over 2003 even in this mode. I've
got way too much time into this issue. Although Intuit is bad about
responding to user complaints, they are probably no worse than a lot of
other companies. Thanks for the replies.
