Hello_
I have Win XP Home and have installed SP2 from disk and
have had no problems until I tried to check for further
critical updates online. I have tried several times and
am getting an error message saying
--You need to be a member of the administrator group--
(Error 0X8DDD0002)
Well thats all well and good but the problem is that I am
the Administrator/Owner/User of this computer and have
administrator rights to perform all other functions as
normal. Eg: make changes in regedit-msconfig/Services
ect...
I am extreemly frustrated by this as I thought by doing a
format and clean install on my computer, I might avoid
the plethera of problems that others seem to be having.
LOL Guess not!!!
Any guidence on this matter gratefully received as it
would be nice to wrestle back the ownership of MY
computer from the all emcompassing hold that XP appears
to grab at every opportunity.
Kind regards Sherry
