I moved an HP CD R/W drive into an XP PRo PC - tried loading the HP-Cd Writer
software that came with it - it got an error duirng the install - I tried
removing it, downloading the latest CD writer software from HP and loading it
- now, whenever XP starts, a message pops up that says that either a software
or hardware item that may cause Windows to become unstable has been disabled
- I have tried removing both versions of CD writer and still get this message.

Any suggestions?

Thank you
