Via chipset ! Motherboard drivers ????, ....you might need to trundle along to MSI and download a new set of VIA four in one drivers - and also take a look the bios files for that board while you're there. You might even need to reflash your bios !
In any event, the MS USB 2.0 driver stack (4 files) will sometimes not install on Via boards, if when XP was installed - it was left with "best fit" drivers, (from XP's drivers' library), instead of the ones written specifically for it by your motherboard manufacturer.
