Cindy,

I too am having the same problem with the floppy on an XP Pro machine.
Floppies that contain data and are readable by just about any other pc are
not recognized on my home pc. I have tried to format the disks on the XP
machine but it just doesn't get past the "Please insert a disc into drive A:"
message. I have changed the floppy drive, played with the motherboard to
floppy cable to make sure it was connected correctly, and went so far as to
purchase a new cable. All to no avail. This XP machine still doesn't
recoganize the floppy when it is inserted into the drive.

I hope there is someone out there that can help solve this problem.
