You apparently don't have all three computers in the same workgroup.
MSHOME is the default workgroup for a lot of XP installations. You can
easily change the workgroup to Homenet from the Control Panel System
applet on the Computer Name tab. Certainly you don't need to format for
this! If you can understand Quantum Physics, you can set up a network.
