No, it's mine.

No, no, then tripple no.

My fault... Let's clarify that: I've done exactly what you've (and others in
this thread) suggested, i.e. select "Download *then* notify. I just accepted to
install the updates by clicking the notify icon. Updates did their stuff and I
got warned my computer had to reboot for the pending updates to finish the
install process. Well, as usual.

First: getting a notification every five minutes telling me I have to "reboot
for the updates..." (I'm sparing you the bla bla) is everything but a cool
feature. Leave it for dummies but not for me. Ok, I can seem pretentious but I
*am* my computer's admin. I've been developing under Windows for years - I've
made my studies before Windows 3.1 came out - , been a system admin for years,
been a network admin for years too... That kind of evolution, well... I call it
backward-evolution. Looks like Microsoft assumes Windows users are plain
dummies. Probably, after all, but I'm not the one to judge and estimate that.
And, know what? I don't care at all.

Next, my point is: I have good reasons to chose to reboot later. And I don't
agree that Microsoft (or whoever) makes the decision in my place. If Microsoft
want to rule everyone's PC, that's their own business. But they won't rule mine:
I - and you and anyone else too - can still chose what operating system I'm
working with. Let's not forget that, right?

That's a great moral. Yes, I fully agree. But for my own acts, only. I'm not
responsible for MS wanting to absolutely control my PC when I said just "No".
You know that, it's the same when a woman says : "No"... does it remind you
something?

Ha... I should have known that before I ever installed my very own MSDOS
machine, in 1988...
