The Thumbs.db file that holds cached thumbnails is a 'superhidden' file,
and it is most likely that your copy process did not include it. Have
Folder Options - View set to show Hidden files, and *not* Hide Protected
mode ones, and look for the thumbs.db in each folder concerned; copy
into the corresponding folder in the backup
