I just installed XP SP2. Everything appears to be OK.

I've decided to use my SyGate Personal Firewall instead of the SP2 firewall,
so I have it turned off in the new Security Center.
I have my AVG Anti-Virus for virus protection, so the only aspect of
Security Center that I'm using is the "Update" facility.

Can I supress the system tray Security Center "shield" icon?

Or, does it need to be there for the Update to function properly.

Thanks in advance,
Al Camp
