Did you set up your choices in Mouse Properties? Install the latest
Intellipoint software available on the web site? The software that comes with
the mouse is already out of date. Go to Cntl Panel, Other Hardware, Mouse and
see if the correct mouse & driver are selected. Then set up the buttons
again, click apply, OK. If you can't get it to work & it's a MS product,
start a hardware problem report at Microsoft. You have free web support for
new hardware. You'll need the serial number from the bottom of the mouse.
Alternately, you can return it to the store and get another.
