Backup up folders to allow you to uninstall Microsoft patches that were
installed through windows update. There will be a corresponding entry
for each one in add remove programs. If the system is running fine
after the patch is installed so you don't need to remove it, then you
can delete these folders. Give it a few weeks after each patch before
making that decision because once they are gone you can't remove the
patch short of doing a repair intall or clean install. If you delete
the uninstall directory then you can go to Add/Remove programs for that
patch (the numbers will match) and click remove. It will give a message
that it can't uninstall it (because the folder is gone) and ask if you
want to remove the entry in add/remove programs. Click yes to remove it.
