Not quite Malke...in Win98 using msconfig to remove a program from
startup was simple...now in WinXP removing a program from startup with
msconfig leaves you with warning at bootup...(unless you check off the
ignore box) becuase it puts you into selective startup rather than a
normal startup....as I said a PITA compared to Win98 , a single check
mark removed and the program no longer starts up and no warning
messsage to mark ignore.
As an aside yes you can use msconfig in XP but it's not as simple an
operation as it was in Win98 , which is what I said previously.
Any time MS increases the amount of key strokes in a newer version to do
the same function as a previous version accomplished with one stroke
sure doesn't sound like progress to me...hence my PITA remark.
Not looking to argue, just making a clarification.(G)
