freeze up/crash

My computer, I believe, will load up properly and after
I'm working, I will lose my mouse control and no keys will
work either. This does not happen all the time. Last night
I was on the net and the computer stopped after about 20
minutes and I have to shut down by using the button on the
back of the box. Control/alt/delete doesn't work. This
problem occurs when I'm not on the web as well.

It is not consistent either, sometimes I can work on the
computer, sometimes I get a black screen before it totally
loads, and then after I shut it off at the back and turn
it back on, it works ok. It will freeze up at different
time intervals as well. Any help would be appreciated
