What is the name of the virus? In the meantime, if you haven't done so
already, run HijackThis:

Delete Winsock2 from Services: Start/Run/Regedit
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services

Then run line 155 (right hand side)
