SP2 and AMD 64 bit processors

Is there likely to be a resolution to the issues surronding compatability
with AMD 64 bit processors or are we just going to have to put up with it?
I read all the support before installing service pack 2 and I must have
missed the warning about it not being compatable with AMD 64 processors I
checked everything else and went ahead what a mess!!
I've got over it now it was overa week ago
