CD-RW Problem

i have written previously about this but no suggested solution has
permanently fixed the problem.
In Nero it says it is waiting for the drive to become ready and then after a
while it will tell me that no disc is present, even though there is and I
have used this media countless times before. After this happens Windows will
stop detecting discs in the drive as well.
However with my DVD-r if this happens and then I put a normal cd in (which
it will detect) Nero detects CD's again and will burn, however this
workaround doesn't work with my CD-RW.
anyclues what is going here folks?
