Always show icon on the taskbar!!!

I am trying to show [always] the power icon of my laptop but it doesn't stick!!. Is there any registry key I need to change manually so that the power Icon always shows on the takbar no matter which account I use?

I have tried by right-clicking on the taskbar and changing the properties/customise and put everyting as "ALWAYS SHOW" but it doesn't show. I also have tried doing his whilst logged in as Administrator but the changes don't filter through to other accounts on the laptop. I am using Windows XP Professional (SP2).
