a: Microsoft only send out Security messages at all to subscribers to
their security watch service
b: They *never* send out patches, or anything else, as attachments.
You can be sure that such a message never came from Microsoft but from
some malicious person who has used a genuine message as a base for
luring you into installing a trojan from the attachment. Junk it
immediately. Only get updates from Windows Update or from links in
Microsoft's support site - http://support.microsoft.com/
