Internet Explorer Windows Close By Themselves

Here's a puzzler. I recently installed SP2 (downloaded from Microsoft).
Internet Explorer now has a habit of closing windows quite randomly, usually
when I click on an image to enlarge or hyperlink. As you can imagine, this
is very annoying.

I will appreciate any help!
