Hi r,

Thanks for pointers, it's a bit quicker now. Loads from power on to Zone
Alarm not flickering in 85 seconds. Sounds a lot compaired to the 26 seconds
for the XP only machine mentioned in the website you gave the first link to,
but I think it's ok because that's just XP and I'm including SiS tray,
SoundMAx, a camera detector, Winzip, FreeRAm, Blinkx, NAV, Zone Alarm,
Spybot, and my Wallpaper (I couldn't live without it), and 30 seconds of the
85 is whatever is causing the Zone Alarm systray icon to flicker - presumably
the system logging on to my ISP and stuff like that! I usually wait until
the ZA icon settles down before doing anything, seems to be the main
indicator the system is ready for work. (Actually, it's always puzzled me
that none of the Windows versions seem to have ever had a thing where some
sort of ready for use flag comes up).

Whilst on it though, maybe you can help a little further please. If I right
click the taskbar and go to Users in Task Manager, in the Session column it
shows me (Albert) as "Console". Is that the same as administrator or is it
debugger, only if I do Run "control userpasswords2" that seems to show me in
one account as User Name "Administrator" in an "Adminsitrators" Group and
again as User Name "Albert" in a "Debugger Users; Administrators" Group -
don't know how I got into that but if that is the "Console" then maybe
there's a load of monitoring routines running in the background that I don't
use. I did have a look into Word's webpage capability a few weeks back and
that brought up a debugging thing and I'm wondering if that set up the
debugging account for me automatically and if the welcome screen is putting
me into that, only Albert and Guest accounts appear on it, there's no
"Administrator" or "ASPNET" accounts appearing on it.

Anyway, many thanks. :)Albert.
