It is always a matter of dissent between those who say 'leave them
running at all times, it is a start that breaks things' and the contrary
'turn off to limit wear'. I would suggest a sensible compromise is
intermediate; turn off when the office closes for the night, or at any
other time when the machine will not be in use for the rest of the day.
