Hi
'Recovery' CDs from different suppliers may have different ways of using
them to reinstall XP. Some CDs will give you the option to 'Repair' XP,
others will wipe the hard disk/partition clean, so that you can start from
scratch again. You'll have to have a look at the documentation that came
with your PC to see how your 'Recovery' disk works.
When you have reinstalled XP, you can install SP2 without having to install
SP1 first, as SP2 is cumulative and includes all previous Updates.
