Who? What? How - did OE get "removed" from your computer? What is that all about?

I had trouble with OE 6 so after much reinstallation, registry editing and
resintallation I finally have it working as it should. All is well with OE6.
However, now, each time i turn the computer on (WinXP PRO SP2) I get a
message "Outlokk Express 6 has been removed from this computer. Do you want
your personalized settings removed from this computer. " (to whih I answer
'no' each time). I tried resetting OE6 as default by running 'msimn /reg'
but to no avail. Any furhter ideas how to rid my box of this annoying
