I regularly get emails offering OEM software, such as Windows XP, and Office
XP. My partner needs both for her PC, and I was wondering whether to go
ahead and buy it. Being "OEM", it is just the Product CD and a software
key, and is 100% legal. This is fine, but I need to know whether both
products will be fully upgradeable, i.e. Can I perform Windows and Office
Update on these products? They state there is no Technical support
available from MS, which does not bother me at all, but I would assume that
I can still update the software as with all other OEM software.
Your help would be much appreciated. Sorry if I sound thick here.....
